Finally done with my personal webpage on the school server. A very different approach building the website this time round. Fully HTML5 compatible, CSS3 and the use of jQuery. The code is minimal, tidy and beautiful (just look at the source!).
My concept of designing a website remains unchanged.
1) Start off with a purpose in mind.
2) Research! Actually, it’s more like surfing the web for ideas.
3) Decide on a colour scheme, font type, layout, etc…
4) Create the graphical elements.
5) Writing the content for different sections.
6) Type the outline using HTML and CSS (+tons of research online).
7) F5! Preview the website on a web browser.
8) while(!satisfied) { repeat step 6 };
9) Test on different browsers.
10) Surely some browsers will behave like a child, repeat step 6.
11) Implement some Javascript code to make it look cool (quite useless actually).
12) And there you have it!

Let me show you how I made the chibi (above). That’s the center of attention when you visit the site. Took me about two days to finish creating it, all done on Adobe Fireworks (I’m Photoshop handicapped FYI). The hair alone took me a couple of hours! Felt a great sense of satisfactory upon finishing the drawing.
Well, hope that website will be a good start for the rest of my uni life! I’ll try to post more of my creation if I’m able to! Seeya soon!
